ROSE Online
R.O.S.E. Online (a.k.a Rush On Seven Episodes Online) is a MMORPG online game released by Gravity (the one that released Ragnarok Online). Currently, there's six known official servers (North America, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Phillipines, Europe) and 1 private server (Ruff Rose).
Unlike Ragnarok Online, R.O.S.E Online is fully 3D. Although the graphics are not stunning enough compared to high end games like Silkroad Online, Gravity has done a good job in the colours of the game. The cheerful colours in the game made the everything look beautiful.
The gameplay however is quite similar to Ragnarok Online. You start off as a traveller and you can change to your first job when you met the requirements. You can choose from four classes as your first job (Soldier, Dealer, Hawker and Muse) and later having two choices to choose from when reached level 70 (Soldier -> Knight/Champion, Dealer ->Artisan/Bourgeois, Hawker -> Raider/Scout, and Muse -> Cleric/Mage).
R.O.S.E Online is not strictly medieval fantasy. There are guns and cannons, siege robots (castle gears), and travel by cart, little dune-buggy type vehicles of unbearable cuteness. While it doesn't affect game-play at all if you do your travelling by cart or horse, airship or giant chicken, the novelty value is genuine, and the fun of actually being able to shoot things should never be under-estimated.
PvP comes in with the guild system, which in R.O.S.E. Online is either clans (headed by players) or Unions (run by NPCs). They compete on the Union Battle Map, but you can also earn unique items by earning Union points on quests. You can also earn clan points from killing mobs in clan field.
Overall, R.O.S.E Online is a reasonably pretty, quite playable fantasy MMORPG. It's cute and bright and there are no real complaints about the gameplay. Something that is worth playing when you're bored. For more information, please visit www.roseon.com .
