Rhino Beetle

Dad found a Rhinoceros Beetle at a substation and brought it back home. Somehow, the interesting part is it doesn't move around much. You can leave it on a spot and come back a few hours later and it will still be there.

Somehow, it looks kind of cool. Oh yea, one of the few ways to make it move is to turn it upside down like what you would do to a turtle. The 'claws'-like things on its legs are really really sharp.

I actually wanted to keep it as a pet but due to the fact that it flew into my room at 4 in the morning and startled me, I set it free to reduce risks of heart attacks. Although it's preety much harmless but when you see a few inches long beetle flying towards you, you can't help but to either kill it or run. It's one of those moments when you feel your balls retracted with a displacement of a negative value.

This is an example of parallax error. It is actually bigger than the lighter even though it seems to be a lot smaller in this photo.

This is an example of what a person would do when he has all the time in the world to waste.
